JEDDAH —
Kuwait has called on its citizens living in the Kingdom to follow the instructions of the Saudi authorities and abide by the partial curfew to help prevent spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19), Kuwait News agency reported on Monday.

In a statement to KUNA, Wael Al-Enezi, the Kuwait consul to Jeddah, said the current circumstances with regard to the coronavirus outbreak require all of us to comply with instructions issued by the Saudi authorities.

Al-Enezi also said that the Consulate in Jeddah has set up a 24-hour emergency committee to monitor the coronavirus developments in order to protect the Kuwaiti citizens and fulfill all their needs. There are 111 Kuwaiti nationals living in Jeddah and the western region of Saudi Arabia, the consul pointed out.

Al-Enezi urged them to dial helpline numbers 0535571133 and 012659799 in case of an emergency.

Earlier on Sunday, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman issued a curfew order from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. for a period of 21 days, effective from Monday, to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the Saudi Arabia
