Kuwait records 6 new coronavirus cases, 3 recoveries

KUWAIT CITY — Kuwait announced six new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Thursday, bringing the total number of infections to 148, Kuwait News Agency reported citing a statement from the Health Ministry.

The country also recorded three new coronavirus recoveries, bringing the total to 18, according to the health minister.

Analyses and laboratory x-ray tests confirmed that the three cases have been cured, Health Minister Dr. Basel Al-Sabah said, according to the KUNA report.

Meanwhile during a daily press briefing, the Health ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said that out of 148 cases of COVID-19, 18 people have recovered and 130 patients are still receiving treatment.

Al-Sanad also said that there are five infected cases in the intensive care unit with two in stable and three in critical conditions.
