RIYADH —
Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, received a phone call from German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Both the leaders discussed the ongoing international efforts to combat the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

They also reviewed the preparations for the virtual extraordinary summit of G20 leaders convened by Saudi Arabia next week to put forward a coordinated global response to the pandemic and its economic fallout.
