King, Crown Prince condole death of Sultan Qaboos

RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, offered their sincere condolences and sorrow to the royal family and people of the Sultanate of Oman as well as to the Arab and Islamic Ummah on the death of Sultan Qaboos of Oman. “With the utmost sadness and grief, the King and the Crown Prince received the news of the death of Sultan Qaboos Bin Said of Oman. May Almighty Allah bestow mercy upon his soul,” the Royal Court said in a statement.

The King and the Crown Prince described the Sultan as the founder of Oman’s modern renaissance, saying that his reign was full of accomplishments and benevolence. They affirmed that the Kingdom and its people share sadness and grief with the people of Oman.

They also prayed for God Almighty to provide Oman’s royal family and people patience and solace in their time of great distress as well as for the security, stability, welfare and prosperity of the Sultanate of Oman and its people. — SPA
