Prominent Saudi writer Tariq Al-Humaid to join Okaz columnists

JEDDAH – As of Sunday, the Saudi writer Tariq Al-Humaid is set to contribute three articles per week in Okaz newspaper, after joining its distinctive team of columnists.

His column will be entitled “From a Different Angle” and his articles will appear on Sunday, Monday and Thursday every week.

Al-Humaid, who is a political journalist and former editor-in-chief of Asharq Al-Awsat, is one of the prominent analysts, concerned with Arab and international affairs.

Al-Humaid was the political correspondent for Al-Madina Arabic daily in Washington before joining Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper. He rose in rank gradually until he became its editor-in-chief in 2004 and continued in the post until 2013.

He excelled in writing on Arab and global political affairs. Al-Humaid holds a bachelor’s degree from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. He has many contributions in intellectual and political conferences, and scores of articles, the last of which was in the Egyptian Al-Watan newspaper.
