200 writers likely at 5th Jeddah Book Fair

JEDDAH —
The fifth annual version of the Jeddah International Book Fair will open on Dec. 11 at Southern Obhur.

More than 400 publishing houses from 40 countries from various parts of the world will participate in the fair, to be held under the sponsorship of Makkah Emir Prince Khaled Al-Faisal.

There will be more than 350,000 book titles in the fair which will be held on an area of 30,000 sq. meters. More than 200 men and women writers will be present at the fair to enrich the cultural content and expand knowledge.

More than 50 various activities will be held during the 10-day fair including exhibition of fine arts, photography, Arabic calligraphy, seminars, lectures and theatrical shows.

Jeddah Governor, Prince Mishaal Bin Majed, who is personally following up the preparations for the fair, has asked all organizers to combine efforts for the comfort and convenience of the visitors.
