‘Meet ICT’ and ‘BITEX 2020’ set in Manama

MANAMA — Under the patronage of Engr. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, Bahrain Technology Companies Society “BTECH” and “Worksmart” for events management organizes the 10th edition of the ICT Conference and Bahrain International Technology Exhibition- MEET ICT / BITEX 2020.

This year, the conference is held under the theme of " Leading the way to a Digital Economy” at the Gulf Convention Center, Gulf Hotel on March 24 and 26, 2020.

In its tenth edition, the Conference aims to focus on the importance and impact of the digital economy, and to devote a great deal of attention to digital transformation in the light of the growing need for knowledge and the pursuit of harnessing it through the use of technology to achieve economic prosperity and the cognitive development of society, especially with the remarkable orientation of many countries towards this concept.

The conference activities include Conference sessions, Workshops, VR & Gaming Hub, University Connect, Demo Area, Robotics and a Media Corner, all of which will showcase the latest trends in technology as an important step toward economy globalization and the use of technology to move to a digital economy in the presence of an interactive and effective human environment.

During the conference, workshops and panel discussions will be organized, as well as bilateral meetings and networking sessions for start-ups and technical and educational institutions.

As for the exhibition, it will include Country pavilions, exhibition stands for the public sector in Bahrain, an area for video and innovative games- as well as a presentation area for entrepreneurs and student projects in this field.

The event is an opportunity to introduce the latest solutions, systems, innovations and products in the various telecommunications and information technologies industry, information and networking security. It also provides the platform to meet with investors, specialists, business owners and technicians to discuss opportunities or the development of the IT sector highlighting the importance of it as well as the digital transformation.

Participation in BITEX will allow ICT companies to showcase their latest and most innovative products and services as the exhibition has succeeded in becoming a point of attraction for internationally distinguished products and services. The exhibition also offers ideal opportunities to build cutting-edge partnerships in the IT sector. — SG
