RIYADH –
The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) Chief Executive Officer Jerry Inzerillo has announced that Diriyah is set to witness the inauguration of eight new museums near residential areas.

In an interview with Okaz, Inzerillo said: “The Diriyah Gate Development Authority aims to provide a unique and very enjoyable environment, similar to the tourism experiences in the Moroccan city of Fez and Italian city of Siena.”

He expressed confidence that Diriyah will be one of the most spectacular gathering and meeting places in the world.

He expressed his hope that the events would show to the world that Saudi Arabia has made big strides at a quick tempo toward giving an opportunity to others to see its deep-rooted heritage.

He stressed that the Kingdom is quite a magnificent destination, “as it is unique with its mesmerizing topography, amazing cities and its fast developing infrastructure.”

He said that work is going on in reinforcing the link between Saudis and their culture and heritage and giving them the opportunity to reconnect with their identity.

He added that the master plan for Diriyah focuses on the open areas suitable for strolling and a huge number of public squares that depict its deep-rooted traditions.

He added: “We are working on providing entertainment and joy in the heart of our operations. We are also keen to provide entertainment events of high standards in all that we carry out.”
