PP gets ready case against abusive female nursery worker

RIYADH –
The Public Prosecution has ordered filing of a lawsuit against a female worker of a nursery accusing her of mistreating and injuring a child.

A video clip of the woman worker abusing the child has gone viral, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

An official source at the Public Prosecution said: “The Public Prosecution’s order is based on Article 17 and directs pertinent authorities to collect evidence in line with Articles 24, 27 and 28 of the Penal Procedures regulation, after verifying the authenticity of the video clip, identifying the woman in the video, and completing legal procedures against the woman through coordination with the pertinent authorities.”

The source confirmed that the Public Prosecution is following up on whatever leads to harming children or treating them cruelly to the extent that the act is considered a crime that entails questioning and punishment.
