JEDDAH –
Consul General of India Mohammed Noor Rahman Sheikh inaugurated the “Salamatak” Patient Loyalty Program, initiated by Abeer Medical Group, a leading healthcare service provider in the Gulf. Sheikh launched the “Salamatak” card by receiving a gold guard from Mohammed Alungal, president of Abeer Group and vice president of Saudi India Business Network (SIBN), during a recent ceremony held in the consulate premises. Mir Gazanfar Zaki, general secretary of SIBN, also attended the function.

Speaking on the occasion, Alungal said that Salamatak is a unique healthcare privilege card with exclusive pre-bundled offers customized for those who have limited insurance coverage or are on Visit/Business/Umrah visa. “It is part of our social responsibility program to support the local community who are less insured and those do not come under any insurance coverage,” he said while addressing a gathering of prominent figures from the Saudi and Indian communities.

Alungal said that privilege card is targeting mainly the needy people in Saudi society, including citizens and expatriates. “We have been receiving positive response from the community which is evident from the popularity the program is garnering from within the community,” he said.

Abdul Rahman, manager of marketing and business development, Abeer Group, said that there are two types of gold and silver cards. There is an exclusive offer to get a silver card for SR200 and that covers four members of a family. There will be five free consultations for a period of six months. The gold card, costing SR400, can cover seven members of a family and there will be 12 free consultations and the validity is for a period of 12 months. Benefits of this program, including up to 60 percent of discount in consultation fee, will be available in all Abeer Medical Group establishments across the Kingdom.

Speaking to Saudi Gazette, Alungal unveiled earlier the group’s plan to establish a world class employment training center in Saudi Arabia as part of the group’s scheme to enhance skills and proficiency of Saudi staffers in their respective professional fields. There are around 500 Saudis working in various branches of the group across the Kingdom. “As Saudi Arabia embarked on a vigorous and intensive plan to expand localization drive to more sectors and professional fields, Abeer Group wants to be part and parcel of this drive with conducting regular and intensive in-service coaching programs for the Saudi staff,” he said adding that the group, in collaboration with a premier job training institute in India, started an ambitious training program to enhance employment skills of its Saudi staffers.

Earlier this year, the group had sent the first batch of Saudi staff to the southern Indian city of Bangalore to attend the training course. The group at present owns and manages 20 healthcare facilities that includes hospitals and high end medical centers and is becoming one of the most successful healthcare providers in the Gulf.
