Highlight strategic Saudi-Pak ties, Pakistani CG tells scribes

Media have a definite role to play in strengthening relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. It is also the duty of journalists attached to various media outlets to highlight the strategic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and enhancing bilateral relations between to two Islamic country, Pakistan’s new Consul General, Khalid Majid, said here recently.

He was addressing local Pakistani and Saudi media representatives for the first time after assuming charge of his assignment. Deputy Consul General Shaiq Ahmed Bhutto and other officials were also in attendance.

The consul general exchanged views with the media personnel on various social and welfare issues.

“Journalists are the voice of the community. As such they have a key role in focusing on the various problems the community faces,” he said.

“We at the consulate assure the community that we will continue to serve our country and our community here to the best of our abilities,” he said.
