Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH –
Saudi Ports made progress in the Quality of Port Services Index by 4 points compared to the previous year, as mentioned in the Global Competitiveness Report 2019. It is one of the indicators that contributed to the rise of the Kingdom's ranking in the report issued by the World Economic Forum, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.

This remarkable progress comes in efficiency and quality of services provided by Saudi ports as a result of the unlimited support received by the ports sector from the wise leadership, which gave it the strength and support necessary to achieve its objectives and contribute to building a solid economy (within the national economy system).

The General Authority for Ports has launched a number of new development projects to optimize the capacity of Saudi ports, develop infrastructure and expand the construction of terminals, in addition to the application of performance measurement indicators to improve the efficiency and quality of port services and reduce the duration of stay.
