MOSCOW — Dubai-based flydubai is marking the fifth anniversary of its first flight to Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport (VKO). In the last five years, more than 450,000 passengers have flown with flydubai on this route.

The airline expanded its service to the capital of Russia following four years of operations to several other Russian destinations. Russia has been a key market on the flydubai network, and the airline has been flying to Russia since November 2010 when it launched flights to Ekaterinburg and Samara. Since then flydubai has created a network of nine destinations across Russia.

Both Business and Economy class passengers can now save time at the airport and check in online up to 48 hours before the flight using the flydubai mobile application or by visiting the airline’s website. Online check-in is available until 90 minutes before the flight departure time.

All flydubai flights to destinations to Russia are codeshared with Emirates. The strategic partnership between the two airlines offers passengers’ access to the combined network of Emirates and flydubai which is expected to reach 240 destinations by 2022.
