Saudi Gazette report

DAMMAM —
Students of International Indian School in Dammam are being forced to take lessons in the corridors of the building as air-conditioners in class rooms are not working properly, several parents have claimed.

Attempts to reach school management for comments did not elicit any response.

“When I went to pick my son studying in Class III, I found him sweating from head to toe. On inquiry I got to know that the air-conditioners in his class room were not functioning. Even I got to know that tiny tots of the KG section are being forced to sit in the corridors to get a wisp of fresh air in this scorching heat,” a parent, requesting anonymity, said.

Another parent echoed his anguish and agony at the treatment meted out to students as temperatures have become unbearable in many parts of the Kingdom.

“We are being charged a lot of money by the school management as part of tuition and transportation fees and they are not providing proper air-conditioners in the class rooms. This is ridiculous,” another parent said.
