KBNCE Gulbarga Alumni Jeddah Chapter felicitates Ali Hussaini

Khaja Banda Nawaz College of Engineering (KBNCE) Gulbarga Alumni Jeddah Chapter celebrated its annual general meet at Hotel Ramada Continental in which they felicitated Vice President Khaja Education Society Syed Mohammed Ali Al Hussaini, Pro Chancellor Khaja Banda Nawaz University.

Hussaini, who was here to perform Umrah, was chief guest, Arab News’ Abdul Aziz Shamsuddin attended as guest of honor while Alumni President Syed Nasir Khursheed presided over the function.

Hussaini appreciated the activities carried out by the Alumni Jeddah chapter and advised the Alumni to come forward and share knowledge and present some technical presentations in the college to the current students studying there, to bring awareness to them about the latest technologies. He also said that more than 20,000 students have achieved engineering degrees from KBN college of Engineering and are successful in their careers as successful professionals spread across all the continents.

He said, “I feel proud to see the students from our college working here in Jeddah as well other places of the world and they are successful in their careers.”

He briefed the audience about the future development and action plan of KBN University, while adding the expertise of alumnus can be utilized to improve the technical ability of KBN Engineering College students while on vacation by addressing them directly or even by developing the blogs as science has made communication easy.

Khursheed thanked Chief Patron Syed Khusro Hussaini and Patron Ruksar Fatima for providing this opportunity to form an Alumni and he thanked Hussaini for taking time to attend this event. He appreciated the thought-provoking ideas of the chief guest to build interface between Alumni and the college.

He appreciated the performances of speakers and presenters, and thanked UIC General Manager Abdul Majeed Bathruddin for his continuous support as sponsor the Alumni.

Syed Mohiuddin, general secretary of Alumni. explained the aims and objects of the group. He gave a brief introduction of the executive committee of the alumni and informed about the bylaws of the alumni.

Abdul Ameed, executive member of the Alumni, delivered Power Point presentation on LEED. He explained with examples how sustainable and green practices helps buildings maintain easily and economically and make it environment friendly.

Presentation on Alumni and KBN Engineering College was delivered by Mohammed Aejazuddin. He highlighted the activities of KBNCE Alumni Jeddah Chapter and the organization structure, aims, objectives, and activities. He also highlighted the achievements of the Alumni, which was holding technical seminars, professional enhancement and development courses and career guidance support to the fresh graduated young talent alumnus.

The chief guest was presented by a Mishlah (traditional Arabic men’s cloak) by the Alumni president and was also felicitated with a memento as a token of appreciation by the president, vice president and general secretary.

The chief guest felicitated the president and vice president of the Yanbu chapter Mirza Khadeer Baig and Abdul Haseeb Hazari, and also felicitated the senior most alumnus of the college (1st Batch of 1980) Iqbal Ali Khan, Salamuddin Khan and Mohammed Iqbal Chand.

Vice President of Alumni Saleh bin Ali Munassar, was the master of ceremony, he conducted the event. Mohsin Sanghar member of Yanbu chapter entertained the audience with mimicry of college lecturers and it was well appreciated.

The program started with recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by Ibrahim Khaleel Uddin. Mohammed Yahiya from the batch of the engineering college in 1980 officially welcomed the guests and recalled unforgettable moments and cherished memories of the college days in his welcome speech.

Joint Secretary Mohammed Imdad Ali introduced the executive committee to the Chief Guest. Event concluded with the vote of thanks by Ibrahim Khaleel Uddin.
