RIYADH — As many as 2,225 online verification of title deeds have been carried out in 20 days, revealed the Ministry of Justice (MoJ).

The ministry has enabled such verifications through its portal in March, among several e-services that spare the clients the need to visit its offices.

Justice Minister Waleed Al-Samaani had earlier announced the ministry›s push to digitize notarial services.

The service can be obtained by visiting the e-Service menu on the MoJ portal (www.moj.gov.sa) and clicking «Title Deed Verification.» The user will be asked to enter the number and date of the deed.

The e-service aims at increasing efficiency, fast-tracking property transactions and providing precise information to users.

The ministry is also providing e-services for title registration and conveyance, as well as applications for digitization of title deeds. According to the ministry, conveyance takes less than 60 minutes for updated deeds and is completely free of cost. — SG
