Fuel costs a few halals more

April 14, 2019

Riyadh — Saudi Arabia raised the price for Octane 95 gasoline to SR2.10 from SR 2.02 last quarter and Octane 91 to SR1.44 from SR1.37 per liter, Saudi Aramco said on Saturday. The change came into effect on April 14, the company said in a statement, adding that domestic gasoline prices go up or down according to changes in export prices from Saudi Arabia to global markets.

Domestic oil prices were roughly doubled a year ago in an effort to boost energy efficiency, part of economic reforms aimed at weaning the world's top crude exporter away from oil. — Reuters
