Saudi Gazette report
Jeddah — Former staff member of Saudi Gazette Syed Faisal Ali has been fielded by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) to fight parliamentary elections from Bihar’s Sheohar seat on its ticket.
Faisal, who had joined a TV channel in India after a long stint here in Jeddah, was preferred by RJD supremo Lalu Yadav over the nominee proposed by his elder son Tej Pratap.
Currently Bharatiya Janata Party’s Rama Devi is the member of parliament from Sheohar constituency.
“It’s a matter of pride for me and I thank RJD chief Lalu Yadav and Tejaswi Yadav for reposing trust in me by giving ticket from Sheohar,” Faisal told Saudi Gazette.
“I will try my best to do whatever possible to change the picture of Sheohar. To link Sheohar with different parts of Bihar, Assam for employment generation. Social justice will be high on my priority,” he added.
Sheohar is one of 40 Bihar parliamentary seats.
