Electricity supply for new customers delivered in 9 days

March 27, 2019

JEDDAH — The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announced it reduced to 9 days the process of getting new electricity connection in the commercial sector.

The company revealed it is not necessary for service applicant in the commercial sector to submit a service request after linking with the portal balady.gov.sa/ of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs. The building permit data will be automatically forwarded to Saudi Electricity. The company will then connect electrical cable to applicant’s site, noting that the installation of electric meter and delivery of electricity services will be made after the payment of fees.

The SEC asserts keenness of the company to provide the best services and to develop and facilitate the process of delivering electricity to its customers. This procedure contributes to raising the Kingdom’s ranking in global competitiveness and improves investment environment in Saudi Arabia to become among world’s best countries.

The company said the service will become available in Riyadh during the first phase in the commercial sector and will be applied across the Kingdom during the next few months. — SG
