Commvault hosts first ever Connections Live event in Riyadh

RIYADH — Commvault, a global leader in enterprise backup, recovery, archive, and the cloud, recently hosted its first ever Connections Live event in Riyadh. The event including customers and partners highlights some of the key trends in data protection and digital transformation impacting industries in Saudi Arabia and the wider region.

A recent forecast by Gartner stated IT spending in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) is projected to total $973 billion in 2019, an increase of 2 percent from the estimated spending of $954 billion in 2018. Saudi Arabia is leading the regional spending with an expected 4.2 percent rise in 2019, much of which is expected to be driven by spend on cloud and data storage services.

The Connections Live event showcased how Commvault’s HyperScale solution is ‘changing the game’ for customers, and include a panel session on digital transformation with partners, HPE, Fujitsu and Huawei, showcasing the increasing opportunities presented by digital technologies to improve business efficiency, while also environmental sustainability.

In KSA, Commvault has been working with the Saudi Telecom Company (STC), to deliver Backup-as-a-Service solution and, utilizing the STC cloud environment.
