Engineering Day at KAU kicks off today

JEDDAH —The College of Engineering at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah is getting ready to open its doors for its 12th annual Engineering Day event to be launched at the university›s King Faisal Conference Center on Sunday.

This year, the event will focus on entrepreneurship, as it is considered one of the main keys for improving the future.

The event will include a career fair that incorporates more than 60 companies with the aim of offering jobs and internship opportunities for the students. In addition, various influential people will be giving speeches and workshops that aim to enrich the students› knowledge and widen the attendees› perspectives.

Also, the event will include various activities such as CV consulting and mock interviewing. To top that off, the attendees will have an exciting chance to immerse in an AR VR visual experience, and participate in many exciting competitions including a Thinkathon and the Goldberg machine show.

From the third till the sixth of February 2019 (3rd-4th for males and 5th-6th for females),

From Sunday, Feb. 3, to Wednesday, Feb. 6, (Sunday-Monday for males and Tuesday-Wednesday for females), the Engineering Day will welcome people from a range of academic backgrounds.

College students, irrespective of whether they study engineering or another major, are welcome to join.

Many schools are arranging trips for their students to visit the Engineering Day. Also, businessmen and women, and emerging entrepreneurs are invited to experience the event. All of these great minds will meet in one place in a day full of opportunities to learn, inspire, and get inspired. — SG
