TRISTAR Group’s JV in Saudi Arabia, United Stars, has recently signed an agreement with SABIC to provide liquid chemicals transport services.

United Stars Country Manager Aous Mahmoud Ahmed Ali disclosed that they will transport MTBE (methyl tertiary-butyl ether), Caustic Soda and other chemicals from the SABIC plants in Jubail in the Eastern Province to SABIC customers inside the Kingdom, Gulf Cooperating Council (GCC) and Jordan.

Currently, United Stars has 40 road tankers for the SABIC contract and will add 40 more units by the end of the first quarter in 2019.

This is the second project of United Stars with the global leader in diversified chemicals which is based in Riyadh. In February 2018, United Stars was contracted to transport gases such LIN, CO2 and Argon from Jubail and Yanbu in the Western Province to different SABIC customers in the Kingdom and GCC using specialized gas tanks. — SG
