JEDDAH — The Jeddah Premier League AIMIM Cup kicked-off with 32 teams, with matches being played on matting wicket and hard tennis ball. This is a unique event by JPL JCT. The 3-month tournament is to be played on a league-cum-knockout basis.
Thanks to the Title Sponsor Jeddah AIMIM team, Dr. Syed Ali Mahmood, chief guest, informed all that he was always there for sports and cricket. He also appreciated AIMIM Asaduddin Owaisi for his excellent work for the community, and thanked JPL JCT committee members for their hard work.
Other top dignitaries Syed Khaja Viquaruddin, Irfan Qureshi, Munawar Khan, and Saad Mohammed, guest of honor attended.
AT the draw ceremony held in AMPM restaurant earlier, chief organizer Ashfaq Ahmed (Faheem) and his team Fasihuddin, Vazeer, Rafi, Ansari , Shahed, and Allam welcomed the sponsors and guests.

The JPL committee had the tough task to select 32 teams for this season, as more than 80 teams entered. The JPL/JCT team are, Syed Mukkarram Nazeer (vice president), Mohammed Amer (executive secretary), Aslam Ali Khan (event coordinator) Mir Meraj Ali (Sr. advisor), Rahmath Hussain (treasurer), Syed Ehsan (accountant) Eecutive Members Talah Ghaya, Mohammed Ali JCT President, Amjad, Asad.
Azizia Deccan downed Jouf Jeddah Strikers by 41 runs, Azizia Deccan scored 113 and Jouf Jeddah Strikers replied with 72. Azizia Deccan Abdul Rahim bagged Man of the Match for his 46 runs. A.D. Muzzafar took 3 crucial wickets.
Azizia Deccan Avengers humbled Nesma Recycling by 31 runs, ADA scored 97. Man of match Sumairhad an excellent spell, scoring 8 runs and taking 1 key wicket. Also Zaheer 20, Arif 18, Haneef 15, Rasheed took 3 wickets, Haneef 2 wickets and Sachin 2 wickets. In reply, Nesma Recycling Co scored 66.
Kokan XI Jeddah thumped Hyderabad Warriors by 10 wickets, Warriors scored 65, and in reply, Kokan XI Jeddah easily hit 66 in 8.3 overs. Safwan 27, Zamer 15 for Kokan. Man of the match Sajjad Patel took 3 for 11, and Mudassir took 2 crucial wickets.
Kings XI Hyd routed United Brothers Makkah. Kings XI totaled 111 for 8, as United Brothers Makkah fell for 62. Kings XI Shakeel for 22 runs and 2 wickets won the man of the match award.
