Nadeem Babar’s ton gives KFSH first victory

RIYADH — Renowned batsman Nadeem Babar scored another century as KFSH started the AMEX tourney with a win. AMEX tournament is sponsored by American Express Saudi Arabia and is being organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA).

Alkharaj League: In Alkharaj League KFSH Blues defeated Pakistan Falcons by 81 runs. KFSH Blues posted 351. Nadeem Babar coninued his supreme form with yet another ton as he played a stylish knock of 102. Nasir Abbasi smashed 85 while Saqib 35 and Adeel 23 also batted well. Yasir and Jadoon took 3 wickets each.

In reply, Pakistan Falcons were restricted to 270. No. 10 batsman Shaukat topscored with 58. Faisal 46, Arif 33 and Waseem 31 batted well. Latafat and Malik picked up 2 wickets each.

Al Harbi lost to Sinmar by 141 runs. Sinmar made 280. Ishtiaq smashed 62, Navas and Riyas mustered 33 runs each. Salman, Islam and Shahid grabbed 2 wickets each. Al Harbi was bowled out for 139. Captain Navas was unplayable as he claimed 5 wickets for 19 runs. Waqar took 2 wickets. Islam 22 and Shahid 20 resisted with bat.

Diriyah League: In Diriyah League, Gujarat Lions thrashed Knight Hawks by 5 wickets. Hawks piled up 181. Rashid 37, Asad 35, Haroon 34 and Abhijeet 32 batted well. Yousaf and Usman took 2 wickets each. Lions won in 18.5 overs. Arpan's outstanding 105 off 55 balls was the highlight of the day. Mithesh also scored supportive 39.

Baloch Fighters lost to KAMS IndoPak by 9 runs. KAMS tallied 172. Ikhlaq smashed 50, Salman made 28. Farhan bagged 4 wickets. Fighters was restricted to 163 in 19.4 overs. Faqeer 31 and Farhad 27 showed some resistance. Zaheer picked up 4 wickets.

Phoenix thumped Karachi Kings by 7 wickets. Karachi Kings totaled 151. Afzal made 50, Mohsin scored 38. Subayyal and Shamroz picked up 3 wickets each. Phoenix won in 16.3 overs. Subayyal and Rameez took Pheonix to a comfortable win with 74 and 61 runs respectively.

Shadin Bangla thrashed Shinkiari Zalmi by 9 wickets. Zalmi scored 127. Rahmat topscored with 44. Raju had a 4 wickets haul. Atique took 2 wickets. Rehan 52, Jan 36 and Raju 35 got the target for Bangla in 12.1 overs.
