Axl Rose struggled through the performance in Abu Dhabi after telling the crowd he'd been ill but powered through 20 songs of the group’s usual 28-song set. “I’ve been throwing up for about the last five hours,” he told the crowd. “So instead of canceling I’m gonna do the best show we can for you.”

The clip, released on November 23, had Gabbana saying that the brand “offer our sincerest apologies to Chinese people worldwide,” before Dolce noted that “We hope our misunderstanding of Chinese culture can be forgiven.We’ve always been very crazy about China, we’ve visited it a lot. We’ve been to many cities. We love your culture.”

The video ended with the two saying sorry in Mandarin. It’s yet to be seen if the brand’s apology will be able to reverse the tide of criticism against it.
