DUBAI — MaK Middle East LLC, a Caterpillar company established in Dubai in 2017, has announced its participation in the 9th edition of the Seatrade Maritime Middle East, the region’s biggest maritime exhibition taking place on Oct. 29-31 at the Dubai World Trade Center. The company, a direct distributer of Caterpillar Inc’s medium speed engine brands; MaK, CM and EMD, and Napier and KBB turbochargers; will be showcasing its products and demonstrating its distinctive business model at the event.
MaK Middle East has opened a dedicated facility in Dubai Maritime City and provides engine maintenance and component servicing in the workshop and onboard vessels berthing and trading in the region. The company also serves as a base for the supply of spare parts and components used for repair, maintenance, upgrading and refurbishment of vessel, rig and powerplant engines. Service engineers have been transferred from Caterpillar’s Singapore and UK operations into the Dubai hub and turbocharger engineers and technicians are trained and certified at the Napier factory in Lincoln UK and the KBB factory in Bannewitz, Germany.
Participating in Seatrade Middle East for the first time, MaK Middle East, as part of its agenda, will be demonstrating its products and services in an effort to raise the standards of the local maritime sector, aiming for a safe, secure and efficient maritime environment in line with the Dubai Maritime Vision 2030.
