JEDDAH — The Jeddah chapter of Navodaya Cultural Forum organized a roadshow to express their solidarity with the Saudi Arabian national football team. Members of Navodaya, wearing the green Saudi jersey with the logo of ‘We support Saudi,’ vowed their full support to the Saudi team. Navodaya Patron V.K.A Raouf, Acting General Secretary Sreekumar Mavelikkara and workers from different parts of Jeddah attended the program.

Organizers of the event said that this roadshow is the first of its kind from an expatriate organization to boost the morale of Saudi team, which is meeting Russia, the host of FIFA World Cup, in Thursday’s opening match.

Apart from offering attractive prizes for those winning a contest of predicting who are the winners in every day’s matches, the organization has made elaborate arrangements to watch the matches. Navodaya has set up a big screen at their premises in Sharafiyah for the football fans to watch all the 64 matches confotably, and the final match will be shown at Impala Garden on a giant screen followed by a ghazal musical program for football fans.

Navodaya is one of the largest Keralite organizations in the Kingdom.
