Samba registers first win in 2018 Titan Watch–JBL Tourney

— Samba defeated El Khereji 86-82 in the Inter Company Group A division at the Nazeeh and Wartah (Al Baik) Park basketball court in Khalidia Jeddah. The winner’s never-say-die attitude paid well as they got their first win. Peralta topscored with 29 points for the winner and was adjudged as the TITAN Watch best player of the game while Santos chipped in 21 points for the losers.

This tournament is principally sponsored by TITAN Watch of Al Hussaini & Al Yahya Investment Group (Othman Al-Husssaini) with the co-sponsor Giordano Fashions (Ahmadullah) and Eshada Baggie Sports Wear.

Basateen JDC beat Barangay Khalediyyah 123-106 in division B category. The winner dominated the shaded area while the losers’ outside shooting went down in the final quarter. Caneta scored 28 points for the winners and was adjudged as the Giordano best player of the game while Ofrin led the losers with 38 big points.

Eagles defeated KD Tambays 40’s 119-117. The losers almost took the win but the winners displayed their fighting heart in the dying seconds of the game. The winners looked for the open man for the winning basket. Galsim collected 45 points for the winning team and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Callueng had 37 points for the losers.

ICTHUS of Dennis Elmenzo beat SNKSJ 122-120 in overtime. The winners never gave up even after losing their 3 good players in foul trouble. Jun carried ICTHUS to their second win and scored 45 points for the winners and was adjudged as the TITAN Watch best player of the game while Mohammed Acuc scored 40 points for the losers.

SNKSJ Ramadan tuneup games are played every Saturday and Tuesday from 10 p.m. – 2 a.m. Registration for the 4th Season is going on at the Khalidia Basketball Court, with Coach Rey Madattu at the helm.
