Small crane collapses near Grand Mosque in Makkah

MAKKAH
– A small crane collapsed due to overload near the Grand Mosque in Makkah on Sunday afternoon, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques said.

The crane driver suffered minor injuries.

The accident occurred at a secluded construction site near Gate No. 160 in the external part of the third expansion.

The site is allocated for work and is not for prayer or the movement of Umrah pilgrims and visitors.
