RIYADH — The International Indian School Riyadh (IISR) held its official meeting last week after the competent authorities announced the names of the members of school managing committee that was constituted recently.
For the second time in IISR, a lady has been included in the managing committee. The members of the committee, headed by Dr. Dilshad Ahamad as their chairman, met with the authorities. Dilshad said his main objective was to focus on the current situation faced by many schools and sustain the standard of education.
Dilshad has assured all support to the students who are leaving the Kingdom. “Whatever is needed by students from IISR, all possible help will be extended,” he said.
He also emphasized that committee will work as one family for the betterment of the Institution. He had completed his full term of three years in the earlier panel and as in charge of academic affairs.
The new managing committee consists Dr. Dilshad Ahamad as Chairman. Other members include Sultan Mazharuddin, Amanulla Arshath, Abdul Moin Khan, Abdul Sattar Siddqui Sahab Hussain Ali and Dr. Kavita M.S.
Dr. Dilshad, has been in the National Guards for the past 7 years and had before worked as research scientist for 20 years in King Saud University. He is involved in many social activities and has always come forward for the welfare of the Indians in Riyadh.
Parents welcomed the newly constituted managing committee and expected that the school will excel under the new committee.
Dr. Hifzur Rahman Azmi, observer of Indian schools in the Kingdom, congratulated the newly formed managing committee.
