flyadeal adds 7th aircraft to its fleet

FLYADEAL, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Everyday Low Fares airline, continues to expand its fleet with its announcement of the arrival of seventh brand new leased Airbus A320 at King Abdulaziz International Airport.

The new Airbus A320, which just arrived from the assembly facility in Hamburg, Germany is named 'Al-Anqa’ (The Phoenix), after the brightest star in the Constellation Phoenix, Alpha Phoenicis.

Powered by CFM engines, Al-‘Anqa’ joins flyadeal’s fleet of Airbus A320s with a single-class layout consisting of 186 18” wide economy class seats, featuring the latest Recaro seats equipped with USB power outlets and personal device holders for smart phones and tablets.

Since beginning operations on Sept. 23, last year, flyadeal has stayed true to its goal of consistently expanding its fleet and route network and giving customers more choices of where to fly. In seven months, it has added seven aircraft and brought affordable air travel to seven destinations in the Kingdom.

Now operating 36 flights a day, flyadeal flies eight times daily between Jeddah and Riyadh. It also operates twice daily from Riyadh and Jeddah to Abha. flyadeal also flies once daily from Riyadh and Jeddah to Jazan, while from its base in Jeddah, the airline also provides direct flights to Qassim and Dammam.
