Empowering women at the Ministry of Justice

The Ministry of Justice recently undertook reform initiatives on many levels, the most important of which empowered women. There has recently been a lot of emphasis placed on the importance of recognizing the role of women and the urgent need to activate that role.

For example, women in the past were not able to easily process their paperwork in courts. They used to face many obstacles, such as delays in getting their rights, not having custody of their children, not receiving alimony, etc. Such issues are easily solved now and within a short time. Some of these issues can be dealt with via the electronic services at the Ministry of Justice and without physically going to court.

The Ministry of Justice recently empowered women further by creating four job titles for them: social researcher, Shariah researcher, legal researcher and administrative work assistant. The ministry approved employing a batch of 300 women, something that shows that the future will be bright. This move will enable women to deal with women. Women who visit our courts will now not be reluctant to discuss personal and sensitive family issues and problems.

Experts in law have stressed the important role of women in this field. We look forward to further developments and improvements in accordance with the public interest.
