THE Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) displayed a new Polaris sports bike termed Advanced Responders, with a speed of more than 200 km per hour, at the recent Arab Health Exhibition, which concluded on Thursday.

The new ambulance vehicle brings the number of luxury ambulances to six cars and four bikes, according to a report in Dubai-based Al Bayan.
Khalifa Bin Dray, Executive Director of DCAS, said: “The foundation is in a race against time to reach the sick and wounded, so it launched the idea of sports bike that is characterized by its speed, adding that these bikes will shorten the response time to just four minutes.”

He described it as “the world’s most luxurious ambulance with all its the smart devices and artificial intelligence,” which was shown at the Arab Health Exhibition.

He added that each bike will have a paramedic, and is supplied with equipment and emergency gadgets such as defibrillator and oxygen cylinder, along with stabilization beds for those suffering from heart attacks, strokes along with fractures and accident injuries. All first aid to the best care possible will be provided until the arrival of the ambulance and the transfer of the patient to the hospital.

Bin Dray said that the bikes are luxurious and will be deployed to tourist areas such as Burj Khalifa, Jumeirah Road and Jumeirah Walkway, in line with Dubai’s outstanding services.

Bin Dray added that through their integrated work system, the organization has achieved many global achievements, first and foremost access to the global response rate of emergencies estimated between 4 to 8 minutes, and surpassed several cities in the world in this field. — Al Arabiya English
