OSG assists in repatriating 12 Indians to Kerala

JEDDAH — The Overseas Samanwaya Group (OSG) Jeddah took the lead in assisting 12 Indians embroiled in an issue with their employer. OSG President Shoukath Khan and Shahir Shan, GS (Kerala), in coordination with the Indian consul general, took time out to settle the issue amicably.

The 12 Indian nationals, employees of “M/s Husain Jubhan Al Ruwaily”, came into notice of Indian Consulate Jeddah. In order to help these people Consul General Mohammed Noor Rahman Sheikh & Vice Consul (Labor) Rajbir Singh decided to issue an authority letter to Shoukath Khan to meet and discuss the issue with employer and settle the case outside the court.

Based on the issued letter Khan approached the employer and had a long discussion with him over a period of time. The end result was that he employer agreed to resolve the issue and gave a safe exit to these 12 peoples by withdrawing the case against them. Now these 12 people have reached their homes safely.

“It was indeed a great achievement and am very thankful to the support extended by Consul General Sheikh, Vice Consul Singh and Welfare Committee member Iqbal to get the issue resolved amicably. I am also thankful to the employer for being humanitarian as well as understanding the plight of the people and providing a safe passage back home.”

The 12 people repatriated are: 1. Haseeb Kammachi; 2. Mohammed Ibrahim; 3. Unash Thottassery; 4. Muhammed Shafi; 5. Asharaf Pandika; 6. Abdul Khader; 7. Anoop Mutham; 8. Vimeesh Pachstt; 9. Bineesh Puthukkadan; 10. Mohammed Favas; 11. Gison Palakkadan; 12. Anoop Anoop. — SG
