The minister conveyed the condolences of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, to the relatives of Sheikh Al-Jirani.

Prince Abdul Aziz was accompanied by Prince Ahmad Bin Fahd Bin Salman, deputy emir of the Eastern Province, Khaled Al-Sufyan, governor of Qatif, and other senior officials.

Speaking to reporters, Prince Abdul Aziz said the government is determined to bring to justice all culprits involved in the horrendous murder of Sheikh Al-Jirani.

“The martyrdom of Sheikh Al-Jirani will not go in vain. No terrorist can escape the hand of justice,” he said.

The minister recalled that Sheikh Al-Jirani was a sincere and honest citizen of high integrity.

The minister said the Shiites have given many sincere and honest sons to the nation. “There are several sons of Qatif who work with dedication in various government departments. All the citizens enjoy the same rights and they have the same duties toward the nation,” he said while reiterating that the nation will firmly deal with extremists whether they are Sunnis or Shiites.

Prince Abdul Aziz said that the government won’t allow anyone to undermine the security of the nation or jeopardize development projects in Qatif region.
