JEDDAH
– Rubaiyat, the Kingdom’s premier fashion and luxury goods retailer, celebrated the grand opening of the Rubaiyat Jewelry & Watches Store last Oct. 17 with a gala event hosted by Sheikh Abdullah Binzagr, President of the Binzagr Group and owner and Chief Executive Officer of Rubaiyat Modern Luxury Co. Ltd., and Mrs. Wafaa Abbar, President of Rubaiyat Company, with the Italian Consulate Ms. Elisabetta Martini, who performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The opening was attended by designers and representatives from the most fashionable jewelry houses, including Carlo Marcalli from Luca Carati, Edolinda Di Fonzo from Aurora pen and Francesco Fusello from Chantecler.

“Chantecler is a very historical brand. This year we were celebrating 70 years. We are well known for the colors of stones we use in our jewelry such as turquoise, red, white, and many other colors. We are very inspired by the beauty of Capri’s nature and sights so our collections reflect the natural spirit of Capri Island,” said Francesco Fusello from Chantecler.

About the uniqueness of Luca Carati, Carlo Marcalli said “our design is mainly gold, diamonds, and precious stones jewelry. It is unique because it is a mix of classic and modern design so our jewelry can last for a long time like from mother to daughter and so on.”

The Fope brand was represented by Tommaso Foralosso, sales manager for Middle East, Asia and Africa; and Marcheluzzo, global sales director. Luca Palmiero, represented his Palmiero brand; and Rodney Rayner represented his Rodney Rayner brand.

Luca Palmiero said his brand is successful as “we are known by our colors and shapes because we have shapes of animals, flowers, and many other exclusive shapes of jewelry.”

Rodney Rayner said “I really like Rose Gold so almost 90% of our collection’s basis is 18 carat Rose Gold. But I cannot say I have a favorite color stone because normally my favorite one is my newest collection that is my new baby.”

Attending for Mattiola was sales director Marco Ugona, Christian Leiggener represented Armin Storm, and Europe Vhernier was represented by managing director Alberto Festa and area manager Mrs. Laura Meroni.
