If you want to solve some of the problems your community faces, then you should begin with your own behavior. If you want others to follow in your footsteps, then you need to set a great example for them. This is a universal fact.

We all want to see clean public parks where we can spend quality time with our family in a clean environment, where a person does not have to worry that his children might get wounded by broken glass left by an irresponsible person. We all want to go to parks where we can enjoy the fresh air. Unfortunately, most if not all of our parks are unclean and littered with trash because most families who visit them do not care or are unaware of the importance of protecting the environment.

If you want to fix this problem, start with yourself. Next time you visit a park or go on a desert excursion with your family, make sure you leave it clean and without litter. Bring trash bags with you and put your trash in garbage bins.

We all fly off the handle and sometimes swear when we see a driver blatantly violating traffic rules or joyriding or drifting, which jeopardizes their own lives and the lives of other road users. We also get angry with traffic officers for not clamping down on dangerous driving. However, it is a fact that they will never be able to put an end to this irresponsible behavior unless all members of the public cooperate and abide by all rules and regulations.

Let us all start today by changing our negative behavior and teach our children to do the same.
