Good for expats

The article “Shoura votes down plan to tax expatriates” (April 2) is good news for expatriates. It brings relief and cheers in the expat community. The Shoura Council was correct in voting down the plan to impose taxes on nine million expatriates in the Kingdom. The expatriates in Saudi Arabia, who have considered the Kingdom as their second home, are not earning much and are grappling with soaring high prices.
