AHSA — Many dead bodies from accident scenes and operation theaters arrive at Al-Ahsa mortuary with medical instruments on them. Abdullah Al-Melhim, member of the Shari’a committee of Al-Ahsa center for honoring the deceased, blames doctors and nurses for the gross negligence.

During a training lecture on washing and shrouding the dead, Al-Melhim said the center has received many bodies that reflect this lack of professionalism.

He said that doctors should also send reports with the bodies highlighting infectious cases that should be handled with caution. The center had previously lectured many doctors on this subject.

Al-Melhim also gave a presentation on washing and shrouding the dead.

He spoke of the obituary record service provided by the center. It allows callers to listen to a recorded massage of the daily deaths.

Registered callers also receive text messages of funerals. It includes the dead person’s name, place of prayers and burial location. — SG
