DAMMAM — King Fahd International Airport here has opened a new lounge called “Tashreefat”, the first of its Kind in the Kingdom, to give a taste of luxury to the arriving as well as departing passengers.

KFIA Director General Turki Bin Abdullah Aljawini, inaugurating the lounge, said this new service was absolutely unique in nature and introduced in the Kingdom for the first time.

He said the lounge was tailor-made for arriving and departing passengers who want to experience complete luxury. He said the lounge would not only provide luxuries to the passengers but would also assist in arrival and departure procedures. The facility is open to both domestic and international passengers.

Dr. Saeed Al-Qaboos, chief executive officer of the “Tashreefat” Lounge, explained that the lounge primarily offered four bouquets, which included general, silver, gold and platinum. Each bouquet offered unique services. Under these services an arriving passenger can fast track his procedures. Similarly an outbound passenger can fast track his departure. Each bouquet offers different kinds of services.

“It will be a unique experience for the passengers. The idea is to make journey a pleasure and entertaining," Al-Qaboos said.

One of the advantages for platinum members would be to check in just 45 minutes before the departure time instead of three hours, provided they sent their luggage and passport to the check in counter 90 minutes before the departure time.

Al-Qaboos said “Tashreefat” allows the passenger to enjoy the hospitality and luxury in the outer hall in front of Gate 4 where a very warm reception awaits him.

The lounge offers free drinks and a very well-equipped business center from where business executives can operate with all possible facilities including free Wi Fi.

A passenger can also obtain international driving license, interpreters, translation work and hire limousine services. “The idea is to meet all possible requirements of a passenger under one roof and in style,” Al-Qaboos said.

Anyone wishing to become member of “Tashreefat” lounge needs to call the customer service number 920011919.
