MONACO - Saudi artist Shalimar Sharbatly was recently commissioned by Italian company Ed Design to paint a Formula One car which was shown on the sidelines of the 2017 Grand Prix De Monaco.

Called “La Torq”, the specialized racing car was the first of its kind to be painted. Shalimar was chosen by Ed Design after the company saw Shalimar’s custom art work on her personal Porsche which was also exhibited alongside the Formula One car.

The car’s custom paint job is expected to raise its current price tag of 3.5 million Euros. An event will be held in Turin, Italy in September to publicize the car’s custom paint job. - SG
