JEDDAH — “Nedaa Al-Amal” (Call of Hope) Center hosted “Qaderoon” members recently to see and understand activities and programs offered by the Center to students with intellectual disabilities 12 years of age and older.

A tour was conducted throughout the center’s different departments to explain the students’ activities in each one of them. Following the tour, the visitors attended a presentation on intellectual disabilities, and its impact on the social and professional aspects for persons with these types of disabilities

The Center has a number of classrooms, along with a computer lab, arts and crafts workshop, a clinic, and a recreational/gym center.

Commenting on the visit, Khalid Sindi, Qaderoon Executive Manager, said: “We are pleased to see the efforts of ‘Nedaa Al-Ama’ Center enabling its students by creating a supportive rehabilitation environment. This comes from the Center›s recognition of its responsibility to demonstrate the importance of enabling persons with disabilities as active members of the society and work.”

He added: “Companies have an important role to play in collaboration with rehabilitation centers by providing training opportunities that end with employment for persons with disabilities and achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The Vision states that “we will enable our people with disabilities to get the job opportunities and education that provide them with independence, inclusion, and active participation in the community. We will also provide them with the tools that help them become successful.” — SG
