RIYADH — Indus Cultural and Social Forum (ICSF) has organized an annual cultural evening here recently. The event was attended by hundreds of families from all over the Kingdom. Community Welfare Attaché Abdul Shakoor Shaikh was the chief guest of the event.

The function started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an. ICSF President Asadullah Jahtial welcomed distinguished guests in his welcome speech and said that the fundamental concept behind having such an effective forum arose only to provide a strong platform for interaction with each other.

ICSF founder member Ghulam Qadir Mallah provided an in-depth analysis on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which was appreciated by the attendees who asked several questions.

A wonderful quiz segment based on the poetry of world renowned and legendry poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai named as “Latif Shanasayee” was held. It was hosted by ICSF Executive Member Abdul Rasheed Sarki and participants were awarded a book of collection of Shah Bhittai’s poetry “Shah jo Risalo”.

ICSF’s Executive Members Zeeshan Qazi and Dr. Mustafa Kamal Memon hosted another interesting segment based on “Proverbs from Sindhi Literature”.

ICSF’s Executive Committee members Anees Malik, Habib Memon, Amir Ismail Rind, Ashiq Samoon and Nisar Samejo were among the key persons who diligently performed their tasks to make this another successful event.

Dr. Hina Ambreen Tariq splendidly conducted the event that included kids and women cultural dress competition along with singing competition and several games with the contribution of volunteers including Dr. Saima Memon, Maimoona Asad, Aksa Rafiq, Safa Tariq and Alishba Aslam.

Kids had busy time playing on Jumping Castle, rich Goodie Bags, and mesmerizing Magic Show.

This event ended with Sindhi Traditional song “Ho Jamalo” sung by young and melodious singer Behram Khan, who specially arrived from Taif to perform in this social and cultural evening.
