JEDDAH – Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) is scheduled to operate regular direct flights between Riyadh and Manchester, United Kingdom starting in June 2017. The flights will be on Mondays and Fridays, with four flights per week in both directions.

This is the second direct route to Manchester on Saudia’s network, apart from the existing current direct flights between the British city and Jeddah at the rate of 10 flights per week in both directions.

With this, Saudia will be operating one flight daily between the Kingdom and Manchester. This is the second British station after London that Saudia flights reach.

This is in line with Saudia’s plan of operating direct international flights. The aim is to provide its guests with more choices and boost the airlines’ competitiveness on the international sector. Saudia aims to target destinations that are witnessing growing demand for travel to the Kingdom, according to market studies.

This also depicts Saudia’s determination to increase its share in the travel and tourism market between East and West.

Travel between Saudi Arabia and the UK is witnessing a continuous increase. Therefore, Saudia is keen to serve this traffic through an integrated system of flights and providing the suitable seating capacity during the peak seasons and throughout the year. — SG
