CAIRO — Saudi Arabian Airlines launched on Monday its first international Al-Fursan lounge at Cairo International Airport. Saudia Director General Saleh Al-Jasser, Cairo Airport Company Board President Megdi Ishaq, several other senior officials and diplomats attended the launching ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, Al-Jasser said Saudia has chosen Cairo as its first Al-Fursan longue outside the Kingdom after considering the heavy traffic at the airport as well as the fast growing bilateral relations between the Kingdom and Egypt. He noted that Saudi Arabian Airlines is the second largest operator at Cairo airport coming next to EgytAir. Al-Jasser also unveiled plans to launch Al-Fursan lounges in some other countries.

After opening the lounge, Al-Jasser and other guests toured the facilities at the lounge in terminal 2 of the airport. The 1,500 square-meter lounge can accommodate 300 guests at a time. Al-Jasser said Al-Fursan lounges became a distinguished competitive advantage of Saudia, which is keen to offer a consistent premium experience to its guests around the world. The lounge features state-of-the-art amenities and unmatched luxury, from high-class waiting area, ultimate dining experience in a splendid buffet with local and international specialties, TVs and flights monitoring screens, a fully equipped work space with private desks and Internet access, to a play area for children, special services for passengers with special needs, prayer area for men and women and other facilities.

Alfursan is a unique program that offers frequent flyers of Saudia a range of benefits and privileges designed to make their travels even more rewarding.
