JEDDAH - Ittihad, ECU Lines and UT Lines excelled with thrilling wins over their respective opponents in the 4th week matches of the Kanoo League sponsored by Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo and organized by JCA.
Ittihad had the better of Al-Burj, beating it by 38 runs mainly due to superb bowling by Khadim and Imtiaz, who picked up 3 wickets each. ECU Lines down Chaudhry XI by 44 runs riding high on an inspired spell of bowling by Hasnain, who took 4 for 27.
UT Lines scored a 5-wicket win through Ghafoor (63) and Shaad Muhammad (45) despite a valiant unbeaten 110 off 54 balls by Majid of Kashmir Stags. Hyderabad Green marched ahead with a 5-wicket win over Jamoom Fighters thanks to Atta’s 68 off 16 balls.
ARM United thrashed Makkah Kings by 62 runs, led by Sami Khan who scored 60 and took 2-24.
Ittihad beat Al-Burj by 38 runs. Ittihad 149 for 8 - Azam 31, Waqas 24, Fahad 31; Zakir 3-20. Al-Burj 111 all out - Kamran 21, Usman 26; Khadim 3-32, Azam 2-14, Imtiaz 3-11.
