NEW YORK — New York goaltender Henrik Lundqvist made a season-high 35 saves for his 60th career shutout to lead the Rangers to a 5-0 win over St. Louis Tuesday.
The win was enough to keep the Rangers a point clear atop the Metropolitan Division but the other two divisional leaders in action both lost: Toronto beat Edmonton in overtime, and Minnesota was beaten at home by Buffalo.
Elsewhere, Columbus pulled off a great escape, tying the game against Dallas with just 16 seconds left and then netting the winner just seconds into overtime.
New York›s Jimmy Vesey had a goal and two assists, and Dan Girardi, Rick Nash, Mats Zuccarello and Kevin Hayes also scored for the Rangers.
