The residents of the street No. 25 in Al-Rabwah district in north Jeddah are terrified by the unshielded main power generator in their neighborhood and have lodged a complaint with the authorities. The generator, which should have safety protection, has been left open with electricity cables dangling from it. The residents fear that anyone coming closer to the generator, might get electrocuted. The residents have said that they will sue the National Electricity Company for negligence and noncompliance to the safety procedures. They have asked the company to cover the generator immediately before anyone is killed or hurt. — Okaz photo
