MÖVENPICK Hotel & Residences Hajar Tower Makkah has been awarded a National Award by Check Safety First, a British group that develops and implements risk management systems for the global hospitality industry.

Their Cristal Food Safety System is based on the recognized method of hygiene management known as Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), a process which is recommended by the World Health Organization and governments worldwide to ensure safe food hygiene.

Along with 300 other hotels, the five-star Mövenpick Hotel & Residence Hajar Tower Makkah underwent stringent audits and analyses before being proclaimed as the annual country winner on account of achieving the highest score. On a monthly basis, unannounced in-person visits were performed by Check Safety First to measure the hotels’ performance and commitment to maintaining international food safety standards.

“Our ability to cater for more than 2,000 guests during any one mealtime, means we also have a huge responsibility in terms of safety. In addition to striving for the taste and quality people expect from a Mövenpick property, we follow rigorous hygienic standards during all our culinary procedures,” said Adel Erfan, General Manager of Mövenpick Hotel & Residence Hajar Tower Makkah.

The hotel is only 10 minutes from the Sacred Mosque of Al-Masjid Al-Haram. With 1,036 guestrooms in the hotel and four impressive dining destinations, this is one of the top hotels in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
