JEDDAH — More than 250 members of the Saudi Scouts Association are serving pilgrims at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

More than 30 supervisors are organizing their task and responsibilities to guide and help pilgrims.

More than 43 charity organizations are providing iftar at the Grand Mosque.
According to a source, 28 charity associations and 15 individuals donated collectively 1 million meals throughout Ramadan. A total of 2,226 workers in the Grand Mosque set out after meals, organize the parking area around the Grand Mosque.

A total of 560 mosques were issued licenses to operate. There were 35,000 meals donated at King Abdulaziz International Airport. Some 24,500 meals were distributed at the north terminal and 10,500 at the south terminal.

The source said there are 13 kitchens and restaurants certified to distribute meals.

A total of 28,000 meals have been distributed to 40 mosques so far.
